NavSci was incorporated as a C corporation in 2002 to develop and commercialize advanced wireless technologies. NavSci licenses award-winning wireless technology from the world renowned Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a designated center of excellence for the Department of Homeland Security.
NavSci is commercializing its Hybrid Techniques for ModulationTM (HTFMTM) technology in four markets: Local Area Networking, Wide Area Networking, Smart Sensor Networking, and Radio Frequency Identification applications.
NavSci was awarded its sixth and pivotal patent in the third quarter of 2006. This core HTFM patent serves as a force-multiplier for the entire suite of previously awarded patents as a market-changing ability to deliver a narrow spectrum, broadband wireless solution offering unprecedented resistance to interference, improved power utilization, advanced location-based applications, and a new form of wireless security. Simultaneously, advances in Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology became commercially viable from both cost and performance perspectives. These events ushered in a new era for NavSci's research, development, and commercialization efforts.
